Hutton Cranswick school has been on its present site since 1873, and although many changes have taken place over the years the philosophy for our school remains the same.
We aim to provide the best possible start for children in the village and the surrounding villages. As the development of personal transport has increased we have been able to attract children from a wider area.
We actively promote our links within the village community, playing we think a vital role in the continued success of the village and the local area. We are also keen to promote a healthy lifestyle, and are currently completing our Healthy Schools Award.
Hutton Cranswick currently has 153 children on roll. There are 7 classes (one for each year-group) and the children are aged from 4 to 11. The majority of our children move to the secondary school in Driffield when they leave our year 6.

Parents' Views

If you are a parent of a pupil at Hutton Cranswick CP School, we want to know your views about the school.
To help us find out, every year in January we send out a parent questionnaire; please complete this as it helps us to decide on future initiatives and priorities.
We also have a suggestion box in the entrance lobby. Parents (and pupils) are encouraged to use this.
Finally, you will see all recent policies on this web-site. We see policies as working documents and we are happy to reconsider any of them at any time. If you have any comments about any policy, please contact us at school.

Vacancy

We are looking to appoint a Y1 teacher for September 2010.
This is a temporary post for one year, and would be suitable for a newly qualified teacher.
More details are available from the school, and an application form is available below.

School Crossing Patrol

We are very sorry to be losing our 'Lollipop Man', Mr Richards, who is retiring at the end of September.
We would love to hear from anyone interested in taking over from Mr Richards. Details of the post are available from the school.
